Why should you take this course?
Cloud Computing is considered a relatively new field in Internet computing where novel perspectives in internetworking technologies have emerged. To successfully deal with issues relating to this new paradigm this programme aims to equip graduates with detailed knowledge, and specialist architectural and technical skills required to design and implement cloud based solutions and services. The programme was developed to meet the growing demand for I.T. professionals with a deep understanding of concept and application of Cloud Computing.
Some points to consider:
Will I get a job afterwards?
The latest edition of the Hays Salary and Recruiting Trends Guide, which surveyed over 1,300 employers and employees across Ireland shows that in 2015 alone then demand for IT skills grew by 15% and there simply isn’t a sufficient pool of indigenous talent to meet this demand. This skills shortage has become increasingly acute as more and more tech companies expand their operations in Ireland.
Does it pay well?
Predicted starting salary is €35k - €45k
The typical salary for an experienced Software Architect is €100K
Great opportunities to travel
Software engineering is a global industry
For example, one west of Ireland based company offers students placement opportunities in California
Want to design your own business application?
At the age of 23, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was the youngest billionaire in the world !
