About this Course

The FSI CareerPlus Progression to MSc in Financial Services qualification will provide industry specific skills, qualifications and experience to enable candidates gain meaningful employment in the International Financial Services sector by providing them with an internationally recognised qualification and the knowledge to support personal and professional development by enhancing students knowledge across a broad curriculum while giving an integrated, critical understanding of financial services. The MSc in Financial Services programme provides progression for qualifying graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Financial Services or equivalent allowing them to progress as part of their lifelong learning portfolio to a full MSc award on a National delivery scale

The FSI CareerPlus MSc in Financial Services will enable students to :
Clarify the dynamic relationship between the FS industry and the broader macro economy
> Describe and explain valuation and risk management tools and their application
> Apply theories and techniques to the complex specific needs of managing financial risk
> Identify, analyse, interpret and present results so that data can be transferred to decisions
> Evaluate behavioural and market-based evidence and ascertain the implications of behavioural finance on financial theory and practice
> Adjudicate on economic policy matters which arise in markets and the macro environment and their implications for businesses
> Advise, recommend and report on business and investment decisions to key stakeholders
> Investigate the usefulness of various financial instruments to facilitate risk management.

Candidates are also provided with IoB Professional Body Membership which ensures participants are part of professional community that has over 35,000 members and have access to regular networking events and presentations on a regional and national scale

Entry Requirements

Students admitted to the MSc in Financial Services must have completed an undergraduate degree programme in a relevant area in a business, legal or cognate discipline with a minimum Honours 2.2 and at least 3 years' relevant work experience.
Or
Applicants who do not hold a primary degree but have relevant work experience at a middle or senior management level are eligible to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
