EmailGriffith College welcomes applications for the programme from mature learners and actively facilitates access for suitably experienced learners by means of the College's Policy on RPL. It is College policy to meet all Springboard applicants in person in advance of admission in order to first assess the suitability of the programme to their particular development needs. Where the programme is found to be suitable, candidates holding the requisite prior NFQ (or equivalent international frameworks) requirements for the programme with recent educational and training experience are directly admitted. Candidates with relevant experience arising from certified and/or experiential learning are considered. This involves the presentation of the learners experiences against nationally equivalent standards of knowledge, skills and competences. This consideration is undertaken formally by the College's RPL committee in accordance with the College Quality Assurance procedures approved by QQI. (See Attached).Candidates who fail to meet the entry requirements, or for whom the programme is currently unsuitable are advised of access, transfer and progression paths to alternative programmes. Unsuccessful candidates who can complete additional bridging training are encouraged to re-apply for admission.
