About this Course

The aim of this postgraduate certificate is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to become part of the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Biotechnology workforce. This is achieved by completing online modules that have been designed in conjunction with the (bio)pharma industry with whom NIBRT is closely aligned. Subjects include cell culture, protein purification, bioprocess scale up and technology transfer, regulatory affairs and biocontamination control. This course is particularly suited to individuals who may have worked in similar industries and are looking to enter the (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

Objectives

Programme Modules:

Semester 1:
Fermentation and Cell Culture Processing - Mandatory
Biocontamination Monitoring and Control - Mandatory
Upstream Processing Practical - Elective
Bioprocess Scale Up and Technology Transfer - Elective

Semester 2:
Protein Purification Processing - Mandatory
Legislation and Regulatory Affairs - Mandatory
Downstream Processing Practical - Elective
