It’s a busy week at Springboard+: the first of our information days takes place tomorrow at the Printworks in Dublin Castle from 12-5pm.
Over 25 exhibitors will be taking part in the event. We’re super excited to have a range of Universities, Institutes of Technology and private colleges in attendance.
As well as the providers exhibiting information about the Springboard+ courses they offer, workshops will take place throughout the day. We’re looking forward to Innovation Academy UCD’s workshop entitled 'Creative Challenge: Hidden Opportunities', which aims to introduce participants to the concept of Design Thinking through a short, interactive workshop. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone keen to develop an entrepreneurial mind-set through 'action-based learning'!
This workshop will take place twice over the course of tomorrow’s event – at 1pm and 3pm.
One of the most popular stands at our information events each year is the guidance stand, so this year we’re running 'Career Development' workshops where our trained guidance counsellors will be giving an engaging talk on choosing the right career path for you. They will also be on hand to chat to attendees and answer very specific questions that individuals might have. The ‘Career Development’ workshops will run at 2pm and 4pm at tomorrow’s event.
In addition to workshops and exhibition stands from course-providers, there will be a number of employers in attendance at tomorrow’s event, who have employed graduates of Springboard+ courses. Furthermore, there will be information stands from the Higher Education Authority, the Department of Social Protection, the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed, and the European Social Fund.
So if you have any queries or questions, be it about eligibility or advice on future career plans, be
sure to get in early!
