About this Course

The programme equips the student with the necessary skills in ICT to gain successful employment in a range of industry sectors including: software, embedded system design, computer network and integrated circuit design.

Objectives

Electronic systems are at the heart of everyday life at home, at work, in our cars, in our mobile devices and entertainment systems. As smart electronics continue to evolve, electronic engineers will increasingly play a vital role in all our lives designing, testing, installing and maintaining electronic systems in business, entertainment, health, security, computing, communications and many other areas.

Entry Requirements

Students applying for the level 8 award will be required to have a Level 7 qualification in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Applicants not meeting the entry criteria above may apply for the programme through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This learning which may be formal or informal learning may be considered as part of the entry requirements for the programme.

All applicants will be considered on a case by case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
