About this Course

The Irish Medtech Springboard programme was developed specifically to enable unemployed scientists, engineers and technicians of traditional disciplines or equivalent to convert to the Life Sciences Sector. The Irish Medtech Association (previously IMDA) a business sector within Ibec, is continuously struggling to fill vacancies for quality, process, regulatory engineers and scientists, validation specialists, scientists, engineers and technicians. This programme will help engineers, scientists and technicians from traditional disciplines to cross into the new realms of engineering which are often hi-tech, hi-precision and highly regulated. The Irish Medtech Springboard accredited training is awarded by University of Limerick and DIT/Ibec to impart the requisite skills.
The directed training will be delivered through blended learning (online and classroom days) for 15 weeks.
11 classroom days, rest online. 2 exams days to finish.
Classroom Days: 4 Quality Engineering; 3 Performance Competence; 1 Finance; 1 Process Validation; 2 CV & Interview Skills.
Participants will receive a Certificate in Quality Engineering, Level 8 30 credits and Career Development Module, and preparation for ASQ CQE Exam. Diploma in Professional Competence, Level 6 20 credits, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in association with Ibec.
Galway venue for classroom days to be confirmed.

Note: All participants of the Certificate in Quality Engineering & Diploma in Professional Competence will be required to pay 10% of the overall costs of the programme. Exact costings will be discussed during the application process.

10% Cost is €490.00
