ACCA is one of the largest and fastest growing accountancy bodies in the world. ACCA is internationally recognised with over 200,000 members and 486,000 students across 178 countries. They are among the world's best-qualified and most highly sought after accountants, working across all sectors.

Professional Accountancy Training (PAT) have collaborated with the ACCA to deliver the Diploma in Accounting and Business at Level 6 equivalent of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).

The programme will be delivered in two modes of learning namely -
1. on a part time evening basis with live streaming of lectures to a national audience and
2. on an E learning / online basis

PAT are gold standard approved learning partners of the ACCA with accredited recognition. ACCA Gold status is only awarded to those institutions able to meet a highly challenging set of performance standards and is a formal recognition of PAT's technical experience and delivery.

Objectives

You gain the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business when you pass:

1. the first three exams of the ACCA Qualification (AB, MA, and FA),
2. the foundations in Professional ethics module.

Depending on when you take your ethics module, you could get this award in 6 - 12 months.

Entry Requirements

No previous academic or accountancy qualifications are required to study for this qualification and is suitable for those aspiring to work or already working in the following types of roles -

1. Basic Bookkeeping
2. Trainee accountant in a commercial organisation or accounting practice
3. Accounts clerk in the Public Sector

Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business via the Foundation level route can then transfer to the ACCA qualification.

Timetable Info

Classes will be delivered once or twice a week in the evening time. There will be some weekend classes as well.
