The aim of the Certificate in Regulatory Affairs and Quality is to provide participants with the basic skills necessary to work in the area of Quality within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/healthcare and other related industries, particularly in the Regulatory Affairs aspects of those industries.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have a Higher Certificate in Business, Engineering or Science at level 6.

Applicants may also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.

Long Description

The aim of the Certificate in Regulatory Affairs and Quality is to provide participants with the basic skills necessary to work in the area of Quality within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/healthcare and other related industries, particularly in the Regulatory Affairs aspects of those industries.

It will look at a number of key areas in these highly regulated industries, including: Quality Assurance systems, Validation, Contamination - sources and methods of prevention, Design and operation of Clean Rooms, Regulatory frameworks and agencies, including Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA), European Directorate for Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM), Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) as well as International Standards Organisation (ISO).

Auditing to regulatory agency acceptable standard.
