ETHOS
Over the last 5 years, the two most common pieces of post-course feedback we receive are that participants can't believe how much work they have done, nor how much they have learned. Both comments are largely due to our "Authentic Assessment" strategy, whereby at least 80% of assessment is designed to mimic projects encountered in a Digital Marketing workplace.

Whether building a website for themselves or helping small businesses to grow, out attendees are highly motivated and push themselves hard to learn more.

Our on-campus courses are taught in computer labs, while our online attendees are encouraged to watch on one screen or tablet and "do" on their main laptop. Workshops, in-class exercises and guest lectures all contribute to a fun and varied learning experience.

ATTENDEES
While each attendee is different, they typically fall into 4 categories:
- People looking to forge a brand-new career in digital marketing.
- Small business owners wanting to grow their businesses
- People in roles a related to marketing, e.g. sales, graphic design, photography and videography.
- Existing marketers looking to improve their digital marketing know-how and develop a more strategic view

SKILLS
Hard skills and knowledge domains developed include use of Digital Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Website Data Analytics, WordPress and all major Social Media platforms.
Soft skills include developing story-telling abilities, strategic thinking, group co-ordination, remote working, report-writing and presentation skills.

PROGRESSION
Attendees who study on this level 8 course have a clear progression path as they can bring their 20 credits earned onto the Masters of Digital Marketing Strategy. Many of our Masters attendees initially enrolled for this 15-week course and found it so enjoyable and useful they decided to continue.

+ Website management
+ Social Media Management
+ Digital Advertising
+ Support / Account Management with companies such as Google and Facebook
+ Email Marketing
+ Content Marketing and Digital PR
+ Combined Traditional / Digital Marketing roles

Timetable Info

Online Classes - Monday to Thursday Evenings (Times To Be Confirmed).
There will be 6 hours of online lectures per week, usually in the format of 3 lectures of 2 hours or 4 lectures of 1.5 hours each.
There will also be 'free chat' sessions with lecturers, usually scheduled during lunchtimes.

All class sessions are 'live'. Attendees are strongly encouraged to attend (using their laptop, webcam and a headset with microphone) and participate in discussions and group activities. However if the occasional session is missed, a 'watch-back' facility is available. This allows attendees to watch any missed sessions or to recap on anything they wish to revise.

Delivery Location

Online - students will be expected to have a webcam and microphone. Lectures are delivered 'live' and students are expected to attend 'live' so that they can ask questions, discuss their own experiences and participate in group exercises.

A headset with 'boom' microphone is not mandatory, but does make your learning experience more comfortable (and makes it easier for other class attendees to hear you). Such headsets are easily available from Amazon, Ebay and local shops for around €30.

Please note this course is also available in classroom delivery from the CIT Bishopstown Campus. If you would like to apply for the classroom only delivery mode please see https://springboardcourses.ie/details/7038
