Long Description

This programme is an intensive part-time course providing a solid practical knowledge of Digital Marketing.

With a learn-by-doing ethos and a focus on developing skills and knowledge, we help attendees become proficient Digital Marketers.

This course is designed both for those looking for employment and those in wanting to move further and faster in their careers.

The course is available to study both from CIT's Bishopstown campus or online. If you wish to study from the Bishopstown campus please apply from this page. However if you would like to apply for the online course please go to page https://springboardcourses.ie/details/7431

Over the last 5 years, the two most common pieces of post-course feedback we receive are that participants can't believe how much work they have done, nor how much they have learned. Both comments are largely due to our "Authentic Assessment" strategy, whereby at least 80% of assessment is designed to mimic projects encountered in a Digital Marketing workplace.

Whether building a website for themselves or helping small businesses to grow, out attendees are highly motivated and push themselves hard to learn more.

Much of our on-campus courses are taught in computer labs. Workshops, in-class exercises and guest lectures all contribute to a fun and varied learning experience.

While each attendee is different, they typically fall into 4 categories:
- Existing marketers looking to improve their digital marketing know-how and develop a more strategic view
- People looking to forge a brand-new career in digital marketing.
- Small business owners wanting to grow their businesses
- People in roles a related to marketing, e.g. sales, graphic design, photography and videography.

Hard skills and knowledge domains developed include use of Digital Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Website Data Analytics, WordPress and all major Social Media platforms.
Soft skills include developing story-telling abilities, strategic thinking, group co-ordination, remote working, report-writing and presentation skills.

Attendees are committing to 6 hours per week of online class-based delivery and between 6 and 12 hours of work on assignments and out-of-class exercises.
Please note that, although this course is aimed at people in full-time employment, it is both intensive and time-consuming. Together we will cover a lot of material and develop new competencies during a short and intense period.

Attendees who study on this level 8 course have a clear progression path as they can bring their 20 credits earned onto the Masters of Digital Marketing Strategy. Many of our Masters attendees initially enrolled for this 15-week course but found it so engaging and useful they decided to continue.
