About this Course

TU Dublin Tallaght has profound expertise in Cloud Computing and its excellence in teaching is demonstrated by one of its graduates obtaining Gold in Cloud Computing at the WorldSkills finals in Kazan Russia.

TU Dublin has delivered Azure based programmes and was part of AWS Academy Beta programme.
The Chief Expert for the WorldSkills Cloud Computing World level competition helps deliver this programme.

This programme up-skills existing IT professionals to be able to design, deliver and deploy such architectures on a public cloud.
Included in the programme is preparation for AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Certification.

Organisations such as international financial services companies, major ICT players and Cloud services providers are spending multi-billion euro sums on these provisions.
At the same time data governance, security and regulation have all become concerns of critical importance to organisations.
With the migration of key infrastructure of major organisations to the Cloud we are seeing an increase in complexity, provisioning and configurability issues associated with this move.

This minor award addresses these issues and is based around modules in the level 7 and level 8 degree programmes in TU Dublin Tallaght with a professional Cloud Solutions Architect preparation focus.

Students taking this programme will be given a vendor neutral overview of the landscape associated with Cloud Solutions Architecting and examples will be used from AWS, Azure and Google Cloud among others.

TU Dublin academic staff are also members of the AWS world leadership council. To ensure students have a real detailed hands-on understanding of the issues associated with Architecting Cloud Solutions students will carry out significant practical and project work.

Students undertaking this programme may also choose to prepare themselves for the AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Certification. This certification is considered valuable in the marketplace.
