About this Course

This Level 7 Certificate in Management and Leadership has been designed to equip participants with the core knowledge, skills and competencies to develop as a manager and leader. It aims to support those in a supervisory or management role who may be experts in their field (eg manufacturing, science, engineering, ICT etc), but have no prior exposure to management and leadership teachings. The programme has been developed in collaboration with key employers both regionally and nationally. It will provide a practical learning experience to those tasked with managing people. Participants will be provided with the foundation for examining and developing their own individual leadership style. Key Features: Online, flexible mode of delivery Designed in collaboration with industry Personal and supportive approach to teaching and learning Skill base transferable across all industries Applied Project Ireland's National Skills Strategy 2025 stated that the level of general management skills in Irish businesses was relatively poor and that highly proficient leadership, with ambition, vision and strong management teams, is fundamental. Having successfully completed the Certificate in Management and Leadership participants will be able to anticipate how environmental factors impact on management practice; evaluate their own leadership style and understand the impact of this style on others; set performance objectives, integrating and co-ordinating the work of individuals and teams, and, evaluate business outcomes to enhance future decision making through identifying performance and skills gaps. An online model of delivery will be used for this programme, allowing both those in employment and those currently not in employment to participate in the programme. The programme team have a wealth of experience in delivering programmes online. Entry Requirements

5 O6/H7 in the Leaving Certificate, to include Mathematics (F2/O6/H7) and either Irish or English (O6/H7), OR QQIFET Level 5, OR equivalent qualification.
Candidates who do not meet the above entry requirements may be admitted to the programme on the grounds of mature years (over 23 by 1st January in the proposed year of entry) if they have attained appropriate experience and attainment thresholds deemed equivalent.
