About this Course

The BSc (Hons) in Computing in Digital Forensics & Cyber Security is a one-year part-time add-on NFQ level 8 degree covering such topics as mobile device forensics, application security, network security analytics, biometrics, business continuity management & cloud security.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Digital Forensics & Cyber Security will have the knowledge and skills to take up employment in a broad number of areas within the cybersecurity sector. Over the course of its history, the programme has produced high calibre in-demand graduates who now work in leading cybersecurity companies such as ReliaQuest, Ward Solutions, Integrity 360, Liberty IT, EdgeScan, Accenture, Salesforce, Deloitte and IBM. Our graduates contribute to Irelands fast-growing Cyber Security sector which now features 60 specialist Irish Cyber Security Companies & Start-ups.

The sector currently employs 6,000 people and our graduates are in high demand.

The student experience is a mix of online and some face-to-face delivery. Students gain first-hand experience of a range of industry-standard platforms and tools in use within the industry. The applied nature of the programme is also supported by specialist on-campus network and security labs which are used to provide a valuable hands-on experience to students.

This is a one-year part-time add-on level 8 degree for students with a level 7 in an ICT related qualification.

The programme is delivered predominantly online with some face-to-face workshops for students who are in a position to travel to the institute.
