The FinTech and Payments Association of Ireland (FPAI) in A FinTech Strategy for Ireland™ defines FinTech as Organisations combining innovative business models and technology to enable, enhance and disrupt financial services . at its most basic FinTech represents the intersection of finance and technology. In their 2020 report KPMG highlighted an increase in activity in the FinTech sector as Ireland gains attractiveness in the wake of Brexit.
