In this course, learners will:

- Understand how to use technology (like Google Ads, Facebook Marketplace and productivity platforms) to grow sales.
- Focus on developing and implementing a digital sales strategy to grow your customer base and business.
- Use social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram), customer relationship platforms (Hubspot/Salesforce), and web & e-commerce platforms (WordPress/Squarespace/Shopify).
- Review the disruptive technologies currently impacting the retail industry such as the internet of things (IoT), automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and augmented reality.

Entry Requirements

Applicants for the programme should have a minimum of 60 ECTS at Level 6 in a cognate area, in which there was an introduction to marketing/marketing fundamentals module.

Applicants without the academic entry requirements may also apply for entry to the programme. The college actively promotes the recognition of prior learning and has developed its access, transfer and progression procedures accordingly. The College's current policies on Recognition of Prior Accredited learning (APL) and Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) are outlined in Griffith College's QAE Manual (QAE C3).

Each applicant will be considered individually in accordance with the College's QQI approved quality assurance procedures.

Applicants who do not satisfy the entry requirements for the programme will be guided in respect of alternative progression options.

All learners are required to be proficient in English. The English language entry requirements for the programme are B2+ on the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR). Where a candidate's mother tongue is not English, they are required to provide proof of proficiency in the English language through satisfactory performance on an internationally recognised test. Candidates with English language levels below CEFR B2+ must first reach this minimum standard before undertaking any of their academic programmes.

Long Description

The Certificate in Digital Sales Transformation is a one-year blended programme designed for retailers who want to upskill in the area of digital sales. Designed in direct response to the digital skills identified in the Retail Ireland Retail Technologies & Future Skills report, this course will help you create and implement a digital sales strategy targeting new and emerging customers.

The value of Ireland’s retail e-commerce market is growing; it was worth 2.2 billion euros at the end of 2019 and is projected to be valued at 3.8 billion euros by 2024. Furthermore, according to P.W.C., the pandemic has pushed the digital trend forward by five years in the space of only one year, further increasing the need for a robust digital skillset

The impact of various disruptive technologies discussed in this course has been exacerbated due to COVID-19 and the resulting closure of the traditional retail stores. Business models are transforming to fit a world where there is no differentiation between selling online or offline and decisions are data-driven.
